TAPE.

i really liked the chracter developement in the movie Tape. First we see Vince, he seems like a fairly intelligent, intense guy. We meet Vince's friend Jon. It seems they have an odd relationship. Jon is pretty critical of Vince and your view of Vince begins to changethe more Jon questions and picks apart his choices and lifestyle. You begin to think that maybe Vince's "intelligence" is limited to his manipulativeness. It's as if throughout the movie Vince continues to show you his real self which is a scarred guy who hasn't changed since high school.
while Jon seems like he's got everything together and he is a mature man, being around Vince brings out the high school kid in him too. It's like in high school Vince had the power in the realationship, and even though they've grown up and changed, whenever they come back together they're thrown back into the way things always go. Since Vince knows Jon so well and vice versa, they both know how to make the other uncomfortable. It seems like the boys grew up, but their relationship didn't.
