the perks.

i am very much enjoying the perks of being a wallflower.
i find the observations Charlie makes about people and
ideas in high school are not only humorous and at times
a little painful, but also very true. The thing that has struck
me the most in the book so far was the quote, "We accept
the love we think we deserve." Not only is it fitting in the
story for Charlie's sister, but it is a very interesting idea
that can be applied in other places. I think true that people
treat themsleves and allow themselves to be treated in
accordance of how much respect and self worth they have
for themselves. I think there are exceptions, and it is not
always true, but it does happen a lot. I like Charlie's character.
he is a prime example of someone who has a lot to teach,
but even more to learn.

Hey Annie,

Even though we're writing online, stick with the "regular" conventions of good writing--you were fine for the most part, but I noticed some lower case first-person pronouns. I was doing that, too, but I've stopped because I think I was setting a poor example.

As we spoke about, I'd like to see you move past making observations about what stands out for you in the novel and begin thinking about what you've discovered. Once you make the significant observation, see what question allows you to explore the issue you've discovered. Okay?
